Combat Gear https://pts-steelshop.com/collections/combat-gear is equipment that helps soldiers or law enfo rcement officers perform their jobs. It may be used for long-range patrols or hit-and-run raids.
There are many companies that create tactical goods explicitly for military organizations and avoid civilian market associations. However, some consumer brands also make durable and technically oriented products that are often called tactical gear.
Gun Belt
The gun belt is a crucial piece of equipment that is used to carry your sidearm and accessories. It is much thicker than a normal dress belt that you would find at your local clothing store, in order to support the additional weight of a firearm. It can also have a steel or polymer/Kydex insert between the leather layers for added stiffness and to help prevent the belt from twisting when carrying a firearm.
These belts are typically worn by military or law enforcement personnel to support a wide range of gear such as holsters, magazine pouches, flashlights and pepper spray. They are often called battle belts and they are a critical component of your EDC setup. When choosing a gun belt, it is important to consider your specific needs and to experiment with different options until you find the one that fits you well. You want your belt to be rigid enough to hold all of your equipment without crushing your diaphragm when you move, but it should also be flexible enough to be comfortable.
Body Armour
When people work in Law Enforcement, they need to wear body armour for protection from a variety of threats. They may need to wear stab proof vests, spike-proof vests or bulletproof vests depending on their role and location.
Body armor is traditionally made up of a hard outer carrier and soft inner protective panels. The outer carrier is made of a tough and flexible material that protects the wearer from ballistic, stab and spike attacks. The inner protective panel is normally made from a material that resists stab and spike attack, for example, metal or tightly woven fibre layers.
When participants were asked to subjectively evaluate the LEBA and MBA, they indicated that they found the LEBA significantly more comfortable than the MBA. Across all three tasks, the LEBA was also judged to enhance performance, whereas the MBA was considered to negatively impact on performance. Participants were weighed dressed in station wear, before and after their assigned body armour was fitted and removed.
Boots
Whether you’re looking to dip your toe into military fashion or need some boots that can take you from hiking trails to hard landscaping over the weekend, look no further than this lug sole combat boot. They’re not as weighty as some, so they won’t have your ankles feeling like bricks, and they’re easy to lace up and unlace.
They’re also designed for long-distance trekking, so you’ll be protected from onsite compression and impact hazards. The direct-attach midsole is molded and attached to the upper, so it’s extremely durable.
As for the calf-high design, this style was developed by the Armed Forces in 1942 to address problems with other jungle boots that weren’t comfortable enough. It incorporated thick leather, a padded sole, and a side zipper for easy on/off. These were the first boots to be used in a jungle environment and revolutionized Combat Gear at that time. They were a vast improvement over the shined black leather combat boots that had been issued to soldiers prior to WWII.
Kevlar Vest
The Kevlar vest is a light, scalable, and versatile body armor system that is used by military personnel. It is designed to be worn over a tactical shirt and provides high front, back, and side torso protection against both bullet and stab threats.
The material, which consists of ultra-strong plastic polymers tightly woven into a flexible fabric, has been used in everything from tennis rackets and Formula 1 racing cars to lifesaving medical devices. Kevlar’s unique properties allow it to absorb large amounts of impact energy and dissipate it quickly.
A new vest developed for police officers is made from a combination of Kevlar and ceramic plates. It is much lighter than previous versions and can be put on in just 30 seconds. It also provides more coverage and is designed to be comfortable for women due to BraCurve inserts. A similar system is currently being deployed by the army for female soldiers.
